The Bucharest International Jazz Competition, now in its 10th year, is inviting professional jazz musicians around the world to register for 2016.
Eligible for entry are jazz bands consisting of six performing musicians, including instrumentalists and vocalists, only instrumentalists or only vocalists.
The total value of the prizes for 2016 is 7,000 Euro, of which 1,200 Euro are reserved for the Grand Prize Winner.
Last year, musicians from 15 countries: Australia, Austria, Canada, Estonia, France, Germany, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland, Russia, South Korea, Spain, UK, USA; were invited to perform live in Bucharest and compete through their jazz performances.
The 10th Competition is scheduled for 14-26 May 2016.
The Bucharest International Jazz Competition debuted in 2007 and is now ranked as the second jazz contest in Europe and the third in the world. It is organized by jmEvents and takes place during the International Festival EUROPAfest in Romania.
