Radius 10 to 15 v.1 is the first European contest for creating a short play for the radio. Create an Accident embraces theatre and radio and invites artists from all over Europe to submit short-length, original, recorded radio plays. The contest aims at promoting contemporary directions of theatrical writing, inspired by urban culture, through the form of a radio play -directions that will broaden our perception of theatrical, linguistic and sonic landscapes.

The Tapirulan Cultural Association is proud to announce the eighth edition of its contest for illustrators. This year’s illustration contest is open for artworks on the theme of “Buffet”. The first prize awarded by the jury is €2000 for 2013 and there’s one more prize of €300 awarded by the registered subscribers. All selected works will be exhibited. The Tapirulan Illustrators exhibition which will include the 40 selected works and all the works of the former winners, will be set up from 1 December 2012 to 26 January 2013 at Santa Maria della Pietà – Cremona, Italy. During the inauguration of the exhibition the winners will be awarded their prizes.

Kaman Art Foundation is greatly honored to invite visual and performing artists and art critics for the 2012 Sowing Seeds Artist Village Residency in the most colorful state of India. Starting 20th December 2012, for 14 days, visual artists, performing artists, art critics and local community will collaborate to create work about environment and social development in rural Rajasthan. There will be opportunities for collaborative work that interacts with the rural environment. A total of 15 artists will be selected through this call.

The organizers of the fifth International Student Poster Competition (ISPC) Skopje 2012 are calling on all students studying fine arts, design, visual arts to enter ISPC 2012 by submitting posters on the subject: Money for free. Three awarded students will have a chance to win a 4 day stay in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia – with fully covered flight expenses + free accommodation – and participate in all activities of the 2013 Skopje Design Week. The Aftermath Project has just opened applications for its annual grant competition for conflict photographers. The Project seeks to help broaden the public’s understanding of the true cost of war – and the real price of peace – through international traveling exhibitions and educational outreach in communities and schools. The 2013 Aftermath Project Conflict Photography Grant Competition is open to working photographers world-wide who are interested in creating work that helps illuminate aftermath issues, and encourages greater public understanding and discussion of these issues. One $20,000 grant will be given out for 2013 and four finalists will be named.

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) invites you to take part in a Poster Design Competition, organized as a part of Typography Day 2013 – a two day conference dedicated to display typography. Typography Day will be organized for the sixth time in 2013 at the Department of Design (DoD) at the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IIT Guwahati) in collaboration with the Industrial Design Centre (IDC) at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) with support from India Design Association (InDeAs) and Aksharaya. Twenty five winning entries in this competition will be published and displayed in an exhibition during the event.
