2019 BlueCat Screenplay Competition

The BlueCat Screenplay Competition, now in its 21st year, is accepting submissions for its 2019 competition.

All screenwriters around the world, regardless of age, are invited to submit their work of any genre.

The Grand Prize in the Feature Category is $10,000 and the Grand Prize in the Shorts Category is $5,000. The Pilot Winner of the 2019 Competition will receive $5,000. The Fellini Award (for the Best International Screenplay) Winner will be awarded $5,000.

Feature screenplays must be between 65-125 pages in length, short screenplays must be between 1-49 pages and pilot scripts – between 20-90 pages.

All entries must be in English, be original, and the sole property of the applicant(s).

There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit.

Founded in 1998 by award-winning writer Gordy Hoffman, BlueCat has supported thousands of screenwriters through written analysis provided to all entrants, many of whom have gone on to successful careers in the film and television industry.
