The initiative pioneers in hospitality and design, but overall, serves as a platform that connects and inspires. A total of $18,000 will be awarded in 2020. The Grand Prize winner in the Professional category will be awarded $10,000. The student winner, determined by the jury, will earn a $1,500 prize and be invited to apply for a graduate assistantship in the Master of Architecture program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas or a Teaching Assistantship at the University of Illinois School of Architecture.

INTRECCINCANTIERE is an international contest of ideas aimed at creative young people (under 30) worldwide. The goal is to create a project/prototype for leather goods, furniture, footwear, costume design, jewelry sectors by using the company’s famous braidings. The European Parlament is hosting a two-stage architectural design competition for the renewal of the Henri-Spaak Building in Brussels. Multidisciplinary teams led by architects are invited to submit renewal projects with a positive environmental impact. There will be a prize of 150.000 Euro for the winner of the competition. Other competitors submitting 2 designs meeting the minimum requirements will receive a prize of 75.000 Euro. Other competitors submitting one design meeting the minimum requirements will receive a prize of 50.000 Euro.

Now in its 27th year, the Ceramics of Italy Tile Competition is officially accepting entries for 2020. The Ceramics of Italy 2020 Tile Competition awards top North American architects and designers for their exceptional work and creative use of Italian ceramic or porcelain tile. An international jury of design experts will review submissions from all over the continent and ultimately select winners in four categories – residential, commercial, institutional, and student. Winners will receive $2,000 cash, an all-expenses-paid CEU-accredited trip to Bologna, Italy for Cersaie 2020, and the opportunity to present their projects in front of a large audience at Coverings in New Orleans.
