CarpetVista is currently accepting entries for its annual International Design Competition and seeking for fresh carpet designs from around the world.
The aim of the competition is to design a carpet, for which CarpetVista will provide the production. The carpet will be hand-tufted or hand-woven using the highest quality materials.
The winning designs will be produced in a limited edition and sold exclusively on CarpetVista. Three main prizes of a total of more than 3,000 Euro — of which 2,230 Euro are reserved for the 1st prize — will be awarded.
Submitted designs should give a modern feeling to the carpet and should not have too detailed motif. The size and shape (round, squared, rectangular etc.) may vary depending on the design. The design should suit a carpet that measures up to 2×3 meters.
Each participant may submit more than one entry.
The CarpetVista competition has two phases. The finalists are picked by an experienced jury that has expertise in textiles, art, design and carpet production. The jury’s verdict is final and cannot be appealed.
The designs that make it to the final will be displayed on CarpetVista and CarpetVista’s visitors will cast their vote to select the winner.
The last day to submit a design is 23rd September 2016.
