The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia and the Typographic Society Munich have just announced the call for entries for the Granshan 2014 International Type Design Competition for Non-Latin Typefaces.
All type designers from all parts of the world are invited to take part in the competition.
The best type design, selected by a jury, will be awarded with a grand prize Granshan 2014, including a money prize of 1,000 Euro.
Type designs can be submitted in the following nine (9) competition categories:
- Armenian text typefaces
- Arabic text typefaces
- Chinese text typefaces
- Cyrillic text typefaces
- Greek text typefaces
- Indic text typefaces
- Thai text typefaces
- Korean text typefaces
- Display typefaces
In each of the nine categories up to three certificates will be awarded.
Printed examples of the winning entries will be published in a documentation designed by the Typographic Society Munich (tgm – Typographische Gesellschaft München) as well.
Eligible are all typefaces (single fonts or families) that have been designed or digitized after 2012 and meet the competition requirements.
Granshan 2014 International Type Design Competition Entry Fee
The competition fee is 20 Euro for each entry and each category.
