National Geographic Society is currently hosting its 2015 Photo Contest and seeking to find the best photography work by individuals from around the world.
Submitted digital photographs must have been taken within the last two (2) years and may have not been previously awarded in any National Geographic competitions.
This year’s Grand Prize — selected between the category winners — is $7,500 and a trip to the District of Columbia, USA from 13–15 January, 2016 to participate in the National Geographic Photography Seminar. A First Place Winner will also be announced in each competition category and will be awarded $2,500.
The 2015 National Geographic Photo Contest includes the following categories for entries:
- People
- Places
- Nature
Judging consists of three (3) rounds of evaluation and winners will be announced in the beginning of January 2016.

The entry fee is $15 (USD) per entry.
No limit on the number of entries per participant.
