The Art and Culture Laboratory [KUL•] calls all interested artists to entry the proposition for the third PI (Prvomajski Inkubator) exhibition. Art and culture Laboratory [KUL•] is a nonprofit organization that promotes different segments of contemporary art.
You are welcome to add photos of your artworks linked to the theme of FREEDOM? PRIVACY? related to the new Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) that affects fundamental rights including freedom of expression and privacy.
The Art & Culture Laboratory will organize an exhibition of the selected works in the Decumanus Gallery in Krk, Croatia around the 1 May 2012.
[KUL•] is Calling for Artworks Related to ACTA
After last year’s exhibition and research project titled “Political Absurd” that brought together artists from Croatia, Monte Negro, Serbia, Slovenia, Nigeria and Canada potential participants in this year’s exhibition should now explore the phenomenon of freedom and privacy.
Photographs, videos, installations, performances, urban interventions, sculptures and graphics are accepted.
Each author or artistic group may submit a maximum of two papers, a case of a film or video they have enough quality for public screening!
The PI (Prvomajski Inkubator) exhibition will be presented as a prt of Labor Incubator – a musical and visual event (concert bands demo + group thematic exhibition), which is held in early May in the town of Krk with the aim of gathering, socializing and developing debate among young musicians, artists and other enthusiasts. Labor Incubator was first organized in 1998, and after a long break reactivated in 2006.
The exhibition will be accompanied with a brochure (catalog).
