Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2021

The next round of the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design has started and entries are being accepted for 2021.

You are invited to take part in this international competition with creative works and integrated brand concepts.

As a winner, you benefit from exclusive use of the Red Dot Label, which communicates news of your design strength in a high-profile manner. Furthermore, your project is presented to a wide audience via our digital channels, in the yearbook and in our museums.

The motto for this year’s award is “Change as a Chance”. The past year has taught us that times of crisis are linked to fundamental changes that impact all of our lives. However, the challenge is to take advantage of this period of upheaval to think outside the box and question the status quo. In the creative sector in particular, this approach can result in the emergence at an incredibly fast pace of outstanding projects that make a valuable contribution to further development. For example, technologies are used, repurposed and refined in order to optimize processes, communication and interaction.

Digital solutions that tackle these issues can be submitted in the newly introduced category “Digital Solutions”. In addition, there are still the 17 usual categories in which to enter your communication design works. These range from “Advertising” and “Typography” to “Sound Design”.

The idea that change can pave the way for opportunities is also true for brands. After all, a brand that evolves and responds to constantly changing client needs is one of the key factors in a company’s success. From “Automotive” and “Retail” to “Technology” and “Telecommunication”, you can choose from 37 sectors in which to register your brand.

The Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2021 competition is open to agencies, designers and companies from all over the globe.
