Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2020

The Red Dot Award: Design Concept has started accepting entries for 2020, to once again award and celebrate revolutionary design concepts.

Designers, design teams, companies, design studios and universities from all over the world are invited to submit prototypes, marketable products, new ideas and design concepts for evaluation and to put their designs to the test.

If your works are awarded, winners receive the winner’s label, certificates, and invitation to the awarding ceremony where Red Dot and Red Dot: Best of the Best awardees will be presented on stage.

The winning design concept will be published in the yearbook, exhibited at Red Dot website’s online exhibition and at the Red Dot Design Museum Singapore. There are no winner services fees charged.

The more than 40 competition categories offer designers a broad spectrum to submit a design solution for almost every situation. New groups such as “Artificial Intelligence”, “3D Printed” and “Virtual and Augmented Reality” promise an exciting future full of possibilities, especially as the extension to visual communication encompasses an even broader spectrum of designs.

The Red Dot Award: Design Concept is the largest professional design concept competition in the world. With an international jury consisting of experts from diverse fields, the award serves as a fair, recognized, and indisputable benchmark for creativity and design excellence in the industry.

Red Dot Design Award identifies good design since 1950. It received more than 18,000 applications from over 70 countries in 2019.

In 2005, the award recognized the need to identify and celebrate new design concept and innovation, the precursor of tomorrow’s great product.

Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2020 – Submission Fees

Submission fees start at $150 (SGD) and vary depending on the time of submission, category and type of entry.
