Mr. Santa Claus invites all young architects and designers (in the Schengen countries) to design a Museum of Snow as a unique, inspiring and innovative solution.
Snow back in Mr. Santa Claus’ native North is facing extinction. Santa has decided to fight back. To make his voice heard, he’s building a landmark for it — called the Museum of Snow.
Submit your boldest, most unique idea, and you might win a sixth month, fully-paid internship at the prestigious architecture office WXCA in Warsaw, Poland. The winning proposal and a minimum of four (4) other proposals will also be awarded with a cash prize of €1,000 each.
Goal is to raise awareness about the approaching extinction of snow. Santa Claus wishes to create an exciting new venue to celebrate and showcase snow as well as snow-related activities. The venue is to be inspired by and fit for the harsh conditions of Mr. Santa’s native North. It introduces modern services and facilities for all audiences – the design should be innovative and inviting to local and global visitors alike.
What’s more, the museum’s exhibitions are aimed to act as a catalyst to understanding current environmental challenges that face us today. You’re expected to challenge the way we think about sustainable building as well as architectural design.
Ruukki products should to be utilized as part of the overall design.
