Venus Febriculosa Design Contest 8: Music for Films, Brian Eno

Venus febriculosa, a website devoted to contemporary literature and the art and design of books, is hosting its eight design contest, dedicated to Brian Eno’s album “Music for Films”. Even though this album already has a great cover, Venus febriculosa is inviting you to design a new one.

The purpose of the contest is to foster interest in literature and music and their relation to the visual arts.

There will be a $500 US prize for the entry that jurors like best as well as some special Eno-related prizes to be announced.

Design a New Cover for Brian Eno’s Album “Music for Films”

You can find all of the rules and gobbledygook in this PDF (read them, please), but keep in mind that the deadline for submissions is 1 September 2012 and that there will be a $500 US prize for the entry that jurors like best as well as some special Eno-related prizes to be announced.

Artwork must contain the words ‘Brian Eno’ and ‘Music for Films’. It may also include a list of tracks and personnel and other text and images that the entrant deems appropriate. All entries must include at a minimum the front of the record cover, but may also include back, spine, and label.

This international competition is open to anyone 18 years or older. Both design professionals and students are encouraged to enter with only one entry per person.
