Alexia Foundation 2014 Professional and Student Grants

Alexia Foundation for World Peace is currently accepting applications from students and professional photographers around the world, for its 2014 Production Grants program.

The intention is to give photographers financial ability to produce substantial stories that drive change in the effort to make the world a better place.

The professional Grant recipient will receive $20,000 for the production of the proposed project. Separate grants in educational opportunities and cash are available for undergraduate and graduate students.

The Alexia Foundation (Foundation) offers a professional Alexia Grant to enable professional photographers and visual journalists to produce substantial bodies of work that share the Foundation’s goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding.

Student applicants are encouraged to consider projects that explore cultural understanding in or near their local community. While the Foundation does not discourage proposals on topics outside the students’ region, no extra weight is given to these topics when determining winning Grant recipients. Rather, the Foundation believes applicants are more likely to complete a story closer to their school or home than one that requires travel.

The Foundation welcomes proposals for still photography or multimedia projects.

Please consider that the application deadline for the professional grant is Monday, 13 January 13, 2014 at 2 p.m. Eastern time. The one we list on Contest Watchers is for the student grants.

Alexia Foundation 2014 Grants Application Fees
