Mozilla is inviting all game designers and developers to get ready for the second edition of the Game On web-based game making competition. The challenge stays the same: show what’s possible using the web as an open gaming platform for the world.
Make browser-based 2D games, 3D games, mobile games, hackable games and games for learning. Invent new game mechanics, create new storylines, engage diverse audiences, introduce visually challenging content.
This competition can get you to GDC (Game Developers Conference) 2013 and you’ll have a chance to meet industry pioneers.
Get Ready! Mozilla’s Game On Competition Opens for Submissions on 3 December 2012
The second Game On competition is an open invitation from Mozilla for you to imagine how next-generation web technologies can revolutionize the way we make and play games. It’s your opportunity to invent new game mechanics, create new storylines, engage diverse audiences, introduce aesthetically challenging content and re-imagine the web as a gaming platform.
More details and specific info about technical requirements or additional prizes, if any, should be published soon on the official website.
The first Game On competition was held two years ago and we had it listed on Contest Watchers.
