OnPaper, an organization based in Barcelona, launches its 2nd annual International Printmaking Award contest and currently accepts entries for 2016.
The aim is to promote the art of printmaking and developing relationships between artists around the world.
The contest is open to everyone and the main prize is 1,000 Euro. This year OnPaper is collaborating with The Glasgow Print Studio, to exhibit the finalists of the 2016 contest in the foyer exhibition space in Trongate 103, Glasgow, Scotland.
Each artist can submit one piece of work on a paper size of 300mm x 400mm. The print size can be any within the size of the paper. The work must have been made using any traditional printmaking techniques, including screenprinting, lithography, etching, collagraph, monotipe, electro-etching, laser print, photopolymer… However, digital prints are not accepted.
Submitted works must be relatively new, completed in the last couple of years, not before, and not have received a prize before.
OnPaper’s annual International Printmaking Award was launched in 2015. Last year, 14 artists were shortlisted and exhibited their work in Barcelona.
