The 9th Celeste Prize international art competition has recently opened for entries, seeking participation from artists at every level. Celeste Prize promotes and supports the work of visual artists, ensures that it’s seen daily in over 100 countries and each year by an audience of over 2 million people. In 2017, six winners will receive 23,000 Euro prizes and every participant is up for selection in the Celeste 12 gallery benefits programme. There will also be a final exhibition of 50 works and 3 projects — at Bargehouse, OXO Tower in London, 6th-8th October, 2017 during Frieze week and a catalogue of circa 80 pages which will contain illustrations of finalists’ works and critical texts.

The 6th edition of the Visible White Photo Prize, themed “In Conflict”, is now open for entries for 2017. Visible White Photo Prize is an international open call for photographic works and projects, entry is open to all. The total prize fund for 2017 includes 5,000 Euro, of which 2,500 Euro are reserved for the Best Project. The Runner-up Project will be awarded 1,500 Euro and the Best Single Photo, 1,000 Euro.

Celeste Network is currently accepting submission for Steamers, the award which reveals the stages in the development of art projects. Streamers invites artists to reveal the development of projects from conception to completion, in a continuous online process that presents works of art in their relationship with the creative context. A total of 8,000 Euro will be awarded in the competition, 6,000 Euro of which are reserved for the Best Artistic Project and 2,000 Euro for the Best Project which changes a community.

Entry is now open in the 2016 Celeste Prize, the 8th international contemporary art competition for all emerging and mid-career artists, hosted by the Celeste Network. The competition is open to artists, photographers and creatives worldwide, without limits of age or experience. Celeste Prize 2016 will result in a final exhibition of fifty (50) works and three (3) projects, a catalogue of circa eighty (80) pages which will contain illustrations of finalists’ works and critical texts, as well as six (6) prizes totaling 23,000 Euro in cash.

The Visible White photography prize is seeking for artworks and projects for 2016, for its 5th edition themed “Skin“. The theme can be approached from different perspectives. Look at skin to reflect on issues of identity, gender, class, ethnicity, race, ecology, politics, and technology, by addressing desire, trauma, ego, aging, torture, submission, multi-sensoriality, self-injury, tattoos, the different contours of sexuality, nanotechnology, implants, disease, contamination and contagion. All these issues in the context of varied geopolitical tensions, economy, sustainability and digital culture (from connectivity to gaming and mobile media). A total of 5,000 Euro are available in prizes, of which 2,500 Euro are reserved for the best project. The best Runner-up Project and Single Work will also be awarded. The two winning projects and the winning single work will be announced on 14 May 2016 at the opening of the Visible White 2016 exhibition, with the final exhibition being held at the FSM Gallery in Florence, Italy, from 14 May to 6 June 2016.

Celeste Network is calling artists around the world to submit their best works in the Taboo 2015 exhibition competition. The organizer’s intention is to spark thoughtful investigation on taboos. Works submitted can take into account prevailing taboos, wherever and however they are experienced, geographically or culturally, or give a sense of how and why transitions to new forms of consideration and acceptance are given with taboos. There are 5,000 Euro available in cash prizes, of which 3,000 Euro are reserved for the best project. The final exhibition will take place in Florence at Galleria Poggiali & Forconi, one of Italy’s top art gallery.
