TAM-TAM is calling for applications to its 18th Plaktivat poster design competition, themed Fast Fashion. Participants are invited to reflect on our relationship with clothing, the environment and the values fashion represents. The competition is open for city posters that awaken a sense of value and bring fashion back to where it belongs: as an expression of identity, not consumption. The best posters will be awarded with Plaktivat awards. Special attention is given to students who will compete in the Fresh Blood category, where a separate winner will also be announced.

Umanotera and TAM-TAM Institute are announcing a competition for a socially responsible poster to encourage changes in eating habits towards choosing food that is friendly to the health of the environment and people. The competition is open to all graphic designers, including individuals, freelance designers, students, high school students, agencies, and legal entities who wish to contribute to creating a shared living space. The winning poster will be awarded a cash prize of 1,000 Euro gross and displayed at 100 TAM-TAM poster locations across Slovenia, from 12–22 May, 2025.

The TAM-TAM Institut is launching an international socially responsible poster contest with the aim of highlighting the positive impact of culture on society and the individual. The call is open to all graphic designers, whether individuals, freelancers, students or pupils, agencies or legal entities wishing to co-create a shared living space. The jury will select a winning poster from all the entries, which will be printed and publicly displayed at 500 TAM-TAM poster sites across Slovenia. It will be entered into the competition sections of the Slovenian Advertising Festival – SOF and the Biennial of Slovenian Design – Brumen. The winner will receive the MEGAFON Plaktivat and the winner’s plaque, the finalists will receive a silver plaque, and all qualified runners-up will receive an e-plaque of participation awarded by the Plaktivat organiser, the TAM-TAM Institute.

The TAM-TAM Institute, in cooperation with the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth and TOM phone, is announcing an international competition for a socially responsible city poster on the theme of “Adolescents’ distress”. The call is open to all graphic designers, whether individuals, freelancers, students or pupils, agencies or legal entities wishing to co-create a shared living space. The call for applications pays special attention to students who will compete in the “Fresh Blood” category, where a winner will also be announced. All entrants who indicate “student status” on their entry form will be automatically entered in this category. Winners and finalists will be selected in both competition categories and the winners (and Student finalists) will be awarded with a plaque. The best posters will be exhibited across Slovenia.

The TAM-TAM Institute, in association with the Blood Transfusion Centre of Slovenia and the Slovenian Red Cross, has announced the 15th Plaktivat – a socially responsible poster competition. It aims to inspire and raise awareness of the importance of blood donation as a pillar of humanity in developed societies. Plaktivat is an international socially responsible competition, an activator of social consciousness, which promotes the creation of city posters and encourages positive changes in society. The competition is held twice a year and is intended for independent designers and design groups from all over the world. Students can participate in the competition’s “Fresh Blood” category. The winning poster will be printed and displayed at 500 TAM-TAM poster locations across Slovenia. It will be entered in the competition parts of the Slovenian Advertising Festival SOF and the Brumen Biennial of Slovenian Design. The winner will receive Plaktivat’s MEGAPHONE award and a winning diploma, while the finalists will receive a silver diploma and all applicants will receive an e-plaque, commemorating their participation, awarded by Plaktivat’s organiser, the TAM-TAM Institute.

The 14th international Plaktivat competition in designing a city poster on the topic of “Discrimination and I” has been launched. The competition aims to raise awareness about the fact that discrimination, though forbidden, remains present at every turn. Submitted poster designs should challenge individuals to consider whether they themselves ever acted in a discriminatory way. The winner will receive Plaktivat’s MEGAFON and a winning plaque. The winning poster will be printed and published on 500 TAM-TAM city posters across Slovenia and automatically entered in the competitions of the Slovenian Advertising Festival SOF and the Brumen biennial of Slovenian Design.

IPoP – Institute for Spatial Policies in partnership with TAM-TAM Institute announces an international poster design competition on the topic of pedestrian-friendly cities of the future: Cities for Pedestrians! The competition is open to anyone wishing to co-create common living space. The organizers are looking for a humane vision of cities of the future, putting humans in the foreground. The winning poster design will receive an award of 1,000 Euro, as well as exposure on 50 TAM-TAM posters in eight town municipalities in Slovenia, in the total period of ten days in the months of May and June 2019.
