Passepartout Photo Prize – 8th Edition – Rome

Il Varco invites you to join the eight Passepartout Photography Prize, a photography contest born to promote and widen the exposure of emerging photographers.

It is an open-theme contest. Photographic works of any kind of artistic style, size and technique (digital, film and experimental processes, digital collages, and other mixed media) are accepted. AI-generated images as a part of the photographic process are accepted.

Passepartout Photo Prize aims to support the development of talented photographers from all over the world by awarding 1,000 Euro in monetary prizes every year, organizing exhibition in a fine art gallery in the heart of Rome, publication in our partners’ magazines, and providing other opportunities for international exposure.

What makes this contest unique is that the organizers collaborate with various professionals in the contemporary art and photography industries. The jury is a diverse blend of photographers, editors, gallerists, curators and educators who bring kaleidoscopic perspectives into the selection process.

The application is open to photographers from all over the world without any age limit. Il Varco embrace innovative and original approaches to contemporary photography, and welcome various artistic languages applied to the photographic image, including, but not limited to, experimentation and fusion of different genres.

The annual exhibition will take place at 28 Piazza di Pietra Fine Art Gallery in Rome, Italy, in autumn 2024. The collective showcase features the selected works of the Passepartout Photo Prize winners and Exhibition Prize winners.
