The Alexia Grants exist to help student and professional visual journalists produce projects that inspire change by addressing topics that are socially significant. Diversity of creators and approaches to producing work and recognize the strength of creating collaborative projects is encouraged. The recipient of the The Alexia Professional Grant will receive $20,000 to produce their proposed project.

The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce its 2019 Photography Competition for student and professional visual journalists. The Alexia recognizes photographic bodies of work that may elevate understanding of the human condition, give light to what is not right and celebrate the best of humanity’s spirit. The winner of the The Alexia Professional Grant will receive $20,000 to produce his or her proposed story. The first place winner of The Alexia Student Grant will receive a cash grant of $1,000 to produce the proposed story and funding for a semester at Syracuse University. The First Place grant is equivalent to a semester-long fellowship or residency at Syracuse University, taking three classes, working on projects and further developing skills with the support of a world-class faculty.

The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce the call for entries for its 2018 Grants competition, for student and professional visual journalists. Grants are awarded to help the production of projects that inspire change by addressing topics that are socially significant. Submissions must have a set of still photographs, but you may also submit other story forms — including audio, video, VR or any other visual format. One grant of $20,000 for the production of a proposed project will be awarded in the Professional category. The first place winning undergraduate and graduate entrant in the Student category will both receive a grant that is equivalent to a semester-long fellowship or residency at Syracuse University, plus a cash grant to help produce the proposed body of work.

The Foundation offers production grants to students and professional photographers to give them the financial ability to produce substantial stories that drive change in the effort to make the world a better place. Students also get scholarship opportunities. The Professional Grant Winner will receive $20,000 (US) to produce his or her proposed project. Several different grants will be given out as part of the Student Awards to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Alexia Foundation has just started accepting applications for its 2015 Student Grants for still photography and multimedia projects from around the world. The Foundation provides educational opportunities and cash grants to help students produce bodies of work that share its goals of promoting world peace and cultural understanding. Student are encouraged to consider projects that explore cultural understanding in or near their local community. Grants are given for First Place, Second Place and, at judges’ discretion, Award(s) of Excellence and vary between undergraduate and graduate students.

The Alexia Foundation is pleased to announce the call for proposals for their 2014 Women’s Initiative Grant which will provide a $25,000 grant for a project to be produced on a significant issue involving and affecting women. Proposals from any photojournalist anywhere in the world are welcome. Unlike the first Women’s Initiative grant, which specifically focused on abuse of women in the United States, this call for entries is intended to permit the photographer to propose a serious documentary photographic or multimedia project encompassing any issue involving women anywhere in the world.

Alexia Foundation for World Peace is currently accepting applications from students and professional photographers around the world, for its 2014 Production Grants program. The intention is to give photographers financial ability to produce substantial stories that drive change in the effort to make the world a better place. The professional Grant recipient will receive $20,000 for the production of the proposed project. Separate grants in educational opportunities and cash are available for undergraduate and graduate students.
