The 2017/2018 competition cycle briefs of the RSA Student Design Awards have recently been announced and entry opens in January, 2018.
RSA wants to empower a generation of savvy, employable graduates who realize the potential of design to benefit society. It challenges students and recent graduates to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking.
Winners are rewarded with cash prizes, paid industry placements, complementary RSA Fellowship and a range of other benefits to kick-start their careers. Different cash prizes are available for each brief.
The 2017/2018 competition includes eight (8) different briefs that bring together a range of thematic research areas, including:
- Working Well
- Sleep Matters
- Fair Play
- The Hygienic Home
- Fair Finance for All
- Eat, Share, Live
- Wearing Intelligence 2.0, and
- Moving Pictures
The competition is open to current students and new graduates from anywhere in the world. Both individual and group entries are eligible.
Submissions can be entered from 15th January 2018 to 14th March 2018!
The RSA Student Design Awards is a global curriculum and competition for emerging designers that’s been running since 1924.
RSA Student Design Awards 2017/2018 Competition Entry Fees
For entrants submitting their work before or on 14 February 2018, the entry fee is £25 per entry. After 14 February 2018 and until the final submission deadline — 14 March 2018, the entry fee is £35.
